 Here is Treasure using his
handy propane torch. He uses this torch to heat selective areas of the piece he's
working on, so that it will move faster than the rest of the glass. It can also
be used to reduce the glass or bring the silver in the glass to the surface. This
gives a metallic looking finish to the surface. Treasure uses this torch on almost
every piece he creates.
 This is
a picture of Treasure starting a silver cobalt piece. He melts a chunk of silver
cobalt glass directly onto the pipe, then using the back of his jacks he shapes
the color into a hemisphere shape before he can gather molten clear glass over it.
This is one of many ways Treasure starts one of his creations.
 Here Michelle assists Treasure
in creating a piece. She is bringing him what is called a lip wrap. This is one
way of adding color to the edge or lip of a bowl or vessel. It can also be used
on the body of a piece to add texture. This can be done by one person (very carefully),
but it is much easier if you have an assistant nearby.
